2023 Remembrance Weekend the club was united in showing it’s gratitude, respects and remembering those from our community and beyond who paid the ultimate price whilst defending our freedom and way of life.
The Weekend began on Thursday at our home, as Sean Devereux Park was adorned with Poppies, and our Community Centre hosted the Royal British Legion Yateley Branch for their Quiz night.
Preparations for the weekend activity continued through the Friday the final touches were completed ready for the weekend.
On the morning of Remembrance Saturday, despite many of our home youth fixtures being postponed or moved due to the recent vandalism of 2 key pitches, our youth teams ensured the day was marked with exemplary respect before each one of their fixtures.

Grassroots Youth Football truly came together as Youth teams across the leagues were united in observing silence prior to kick off, as shown in these incredible photos.
Next up came our First Teams fixture against Berks County. Entry to the match was free for all Veterans and those military personnel still serving. Thanks to our ticketing partners Give Back 50 scheme, all online ticket sales included a donation to the Royal British Legion.
We were joined at Sean Devereux Park by our esteemed guests of honour, which included members of the Royal British Legion Yateley and Bryan, a bugler from the Sandhurst Silver Band, to sound the Last Post and Reveille and mark this extremely important day of remembrance.

The match itself was a hard fought and very even brilliant game of football, with both teams having chances to win the game. Score 1-1.
Over to Remembrance Sunday and once again our amazing youth teams representing the club impeccably.
The weekend events were concluded in the attendance of an incredible Yateley Remembrance parade and ceremony at the Yateley War Memorial. One of our own very young footballers from the U6 academy represented the club, sporting Yateley United FC colours in the rain, to place the wreath in its position, where amongst the others it will remain as a symbol of our gratitude and respect.
