Clubhouse construction to commence November 23rd!
We are delighted to announce that, after a frustrating period of routine backroom work by both our and the Football Foundation solicitors, followed by a pre-construction meeting yesterday, the Football Foundation have given the go-ahead for our builder, LTE Design and Build, to commence construction on Monday, November 23rd.
A little over 10 years ago, a small group of people dedicated to improving the facilities for footballers of all ages locally created a vision which included owning land and creating a purpose-built facility for our Community to use. The vision was strengthened by the purchase of Sean Devereux Park in 2014 which enabled the club to move to the planning stage and now, with the financial requirements coming together, so this plan becomes a physical reality in the form of the £715,000 Clubhouse/Community Access Building (CAB), which forms part of the club’s development of a Community Sports and Wellness Centre at Sean Devereux Park, Yateley.
Amongst these grey days of winter and pandemic this is truly a bright, bright light for the future and what we can achieve for the club and our Community.
As the building commences and grows, the club will provide regular updates on progress, including of course details on further important fundraising such as Buy A Brick – a great family Christmas present to (literally) cement your family name into this Community development for decades to come.
