A-mazing team claim promotion to TVPL Division One

Our A Team will be playing their football in Thames Valley Premier League Division One next season, as they gained the point they needed in a 3-3 draw against a strong Berks County Swords side at Sean Devereux Park this afternoon.

In a truly exciting fixture at SDP, goals from Sam Munden, Frankie Worthington and Harry Stephenson ensured the points were shared, enough to see them claim promotion.

Congratulations to all involved!

Promotion was poised before kick off, with the news that Hurst Reserves had withdrawn from the league, it meant that the squad needed a win or a draw from this crucial fixture.

The point ensured Yateley United ‘A’ remain in second spot, having played 16, won eleven, drawn one and lost 4. (The 1-0 win vs Hurst Reserves was removed after their withdrawal.)

Thank you to all the fans that made yesterday an extra special day at Sean Devereux Park.
