HISTORY. MEN'S FA CUP FOOTBALL AT SDP FOR THE FIRST TIME.

This Saturday will be remembered as one of the most significant days in the history of Yateley United Football Club.

For the first time ever, Yateley United will compete in the Men’s FA Cup, while Sean Devereux Park will host its first Men’s FA Cup tie as we welcome Alton FC in the Extra Preliminary Round.

Kick-off is at 3:00pm, and everyone connected with the club is invited to be part of a truly historic occasion.

Football’s Greatest Cup Competition

There is no competition quite like the FA Cup.

First played during the 1871-72 season, the FA Cup is the oldest national football competition in the world and has become one of the sport’s most treasured traditions. For more than 150 years it has produced unforgettable moments, giant-killings and fairy-tale stories, giving clubs from every level of the football pyramid the chance to dream.

From famous winners including Wanderers, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, to modern-day underdog stories that capture the imagination of football fans everywhere, the FA Cup remains unlike any other competition. Every club starts with the same dream, to create history.

This weekend, Jordan will lead Yateley United out on to our magnificent ground as we begin our own FA Cup journey and are officially on the Road to Wembley

Last season, our club proudly celebrated another landmark moment when the Women’s First Team competed in a historic FA Cup fixture of their own, demonstrating the continued growth and ambition of football at Yateley United.

Now it is the turn of our Men’s First Team to write the next chapter in our history.
