Yateley United are organising a celebrity football match on the 4th December called “Football For Freddie” to raise money for Freddie Hunt. The local two year-old was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. His only hope is potentially life saving proton treatment in the U.S. costing £150,000.
The celebrity charity match will be at Sean Devereux Park Sunday 4 December from 1pm, 2pm KO. It’s probably the highest profile football match ever staged in Yateley, all donations going to a wonderful cause.
Yateley United FC is one on the largest community clubs in Hampshire with 32 teams across the adult and youth sections.
The adults section has 6 teams covering men and women while the youth section has 26 teams plus a mini-soccer section for the 4-6 age group. Because we are so close to Berkshire and Surrey our teams play across three league systems: Hampshire, East Berkshire and Surrey.
