“Devastating for all involved”

Unfortunately we were greeted by some absolute mindless vandalism at our home ground yesterday morning as someone has chosen to completely ruin two of our youth pitches overnight.

We have made a huge investment into these pitches in recent times – both financially & through the huge efforts of our fantastic volunteers! Allowing many of our youth teams & visiting teams enjoying the top quality playing pitches as a result.

To see this is just devastating for all involved & will affect many childrens’ football over the coming weeks whilst we try to repair the senseless damage caused.

These pitches are home to so many games each weekend and allow so many young footballers, coaches and loved ones to enjoy grassroots football. This damage will mean that many will now be unable to enjoy the beautiful game – the game they love and look forward to each weekend.

This is how great these pitches looked just 2 weeks ago! – we’ll do our very best to get them back to this again against the odds asap.

In the last few days we have had many messages of support and we are so grateful to those in the community that have been so supportive.

We will now need to rethink the security of our home to ensure that this cannot happen again. The reality is the club are so proud to support the community, of whom are at the core of what we do. We will continue to strive and ensure that we can offer participation in sport to as many as we can.
